I don’t see the value of a church. All I see in them is hypocrisy and Sundays seem to be days when Christians come out “hypocriting”.
Churches are communities of sinners who have been saved by grace and commanded to love one another. This provides opportunities to love and be loved but also opportunities to learn patience, forgiveness, self-control—the fruit of the Holy Spirit—all in an environment where God’s Word is taught and shared.
In other words, churches are nurseries designed for your growth and development as a Christian, not as a sterile environment, but with all the imperfections that you will experience in the world within a framework where God is worshipped and experiences with him are shared. You isolate yourself from a church and you rob yourself of a more protected environment that serves regular nourishment from the Word and encouragement for your own journey as a Christian.
Everyone is at different stages of their journey and so they are rarely all hypocrites or all angels. You need to get into the community and see individuals for who they are.
Naturally, not every church is doing well and not every church will fit your need. But the church is instituted by Christ and he declares himself the head. You do well to find a Christian community to invest yourself in, one where you may give and receive love as he commands.
